The 14 ski lifts take skiers up the 1,500-foot drop at the close by ski area Snowshoe. Snowshoe gets covered by an average of 15 feet of snow every season on its 57 ski slopes. The expert and advanced ski slopes at Snowshoe account for 23% of the ski slopes, and they are truly pleasant; novices and kids are in luck too, 77% of the 224 acres of ski terrain are blanketed
    by green and blue ski slopes. If you want a pleasant time in the great outdoors, just come on down to Monongahela National Forest. Going for a hike on the Turkey Hunter Access Trail is always a perfect adventure, and White Top is a peak you can observe from Monongahela National
Forest. A grade I-II, 7.9-mile-from-start-to-finish whitewater segment can be found on nearby Greenbrier River - West Fork, the Burner to confluence of East Fork at Durbin section.
