 Hello,

Was wondering if any recreational gold panning would be permissable in any of the small tributarys of the Chiwawa or Little Wenatchee Rivers?  Or any type of recreational prospecting in the Wenatchee National Forest. Thanks for your help.  Bill Hoaglan,  Plain, WA. Says Bill Hoaglan

The 1,800 feet of elevation difference at close by Stevens Pass is sheer enjoyment. Stevens Pass boasts 38 feet of beautiful snow yearly on its 37 trails that are served by its 10 good ski lifts. Stevens Pass has 1,125 acres to ski on; 65% of the trails
are beginner and intermediate which is great for learners; 35% of the trails are red and black. On Nason Creek nearby you discover the 8-mile-in-length Berne to Merritt portion of type IV-V whitewater. Only those expert in whitewater kayaking or rafting should endeavor to raft
this sweep of Nason Creek. Icicle Creek has a category II-III+(V) part of whitewater close by. The 3.5-mile-from-start-to-finish Rock Island Campground to Ida Creek segment is good to raft.
