Custom Search
The 1,000 acres of skiable territory at Mt.Baker is prized by skiers from far and near. Mt.Baker has 31% red and black trails and 69% blue and green trails. The nearby ski mountain Mt.Baker receives 54 feet of white snow per season. Mt.Baker has 8 good ski lifts that serve its 38 trails; the drop from top to bottom is 1,500 feet. On close by Jackman River you bump into a class IV-V segment of whitewater; the mile 6 to mile 1 sector is 5 miles long. Don't go whitewater paddling on this segment of Jackman River unless you believe your whitewater paddling
skills are very great. Stillaguamish River - North Fork has a nearby whitewater stretch; the Confluence with South Branch to bridge below Moose Creek portion is a great 8-mile-in-distance class V stretch of whitewater. The beginners should perhaps stay away from this stretch of
Stillaguamish River - North Fork. Whitewater rapids are treacherous phenomenons, so you should check restrictions prior to departure. The prettiness of Rockport State Park is there for your viewing gratification.
