The 8-mile-from-start-to-finish Eckert Road to FM 965 sector is good to paddle. Only those experienced in whitewater paddling should venture to paddle this section of Crabapple Creek. On close by     Hickory Creek River you encounter a category II-III(V+) stretch of whitewater; the County Road 109 to FM 152 sector is 10 miles long. Raft paddlers on this stretch of Hickory Creek River should boast quite a little bit of familiarity in whitewater kayaking or rafting. Of course, whitewater kayaking or rafting is enjoyable but treacherous; check current conditions before you go.
