Cowan Lake State Park
| | If you love whitewater, there is the Caesar Creek Lake to Little Miami River portion, a type II+ whitewater bit on Caesar Creek, 2.8 miles long. Don’t rely on continuing to be dry whitewater kayaking or rafting this bit of Caesar Creek in the event that you're not an skilled raft paddler. The State Route 132 to Confluence with Todd's Fork section, a whitewater bit on Second Creek is 3.25 miles from beginning to end. This nearby bit of whitewater is a type II-III. If you don’t want to risk getting wet this bit of Second Creek is most likely not for you. |
If you are going paddling, you should always check conditions. Wilmington Upground Reservoir Dam Number One is an attention-grabbing thing to check out, and camping is available at Green Meadows Campgrounds. Don't leave Cowan Lake State Park without first going for a hike along
| the Lakeview Trail. Do have a look at Wilmington Upground Reservoir Number Two Dam since you're here at Cowan Lake State Park, and why not take a refreshing hike along the Lotus Cove Trail. | |
