Shades State Park Custom Search   Shades is awesome!! Everyone should get to go to Shades! It is the best state park in Indiana! Says Anonymous Shades is our favorite campground of all the state parks.  We have camped in almost everyone of the parks.  Shades does not have any electric or water sites so it is perfect for a quite night in a tent.  The bathrooms are pretty nice besides the water being a little too hot.  Cannot get cell phone reception either in the campground which I love.  We highly recommend Shades but make sure you keep us a spot! Why not have a look at Shades Pond Dam while you're here, and there's whitewater on Indian Creek for all you thrill seekers. There are many amusing pastimes to gratify everybody. Spencer Branch is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out.
