Castaic Lake State Park Custom Search   I don't understand why across the lake (the park) has thick tree groves and plush green grass and yet the campgrounds only have patches of grass at each end of each section(a,b.c)and a few strangely trees mostly the campgrounds were dirt with mixed in debris (trash) your fees do not include upper lake entrance fees or park fees you have to pay $1.00 for 3 minutes for the shower. The beach of the lake at the campground are littered with bait containers, old bait and rubber worms and fishing line spread around like tinsel at Xmas. The reason the line all     over is the aquatic foliage is so thick every time you reel in it gets snagged I am a good angler I usually catch something in two days of fishing in ''the lagoon'' I not so much as got a bite either did any of the other fisherman their. So you pay 20.00 to camp under the sun unless you have your own awning or such 12.00 for permit and unless you pay the additional 11.00 to go to the upper lake your fishing experience look dismal at best and don't forget your 1.00 for 3 min shower.
