Was a great place to go to in the 50's Ran by a guy named Connley out of VA Hotel in Princeton. Had great cabins to rent - big lake that was furnsied water from Bluestone river that ran about 50 feet elivation
lower than lake shawnee. Had a great bathouse with water slide from the house to the hugh swimming pool. Had a rope swing to swing off into the water. Had a c/w band (usually Rex and Elenor, the merry makers) on the week end in the
dance hall on top of the bath house. Very big and nice place to spend your summers and not too far from Bluefield. Says Joe McNeal
