Appalachian Lake

This lake is so wonderful. If by chance you are looking for a marina, Yough Lake Marina is nearby; if you came for an overnight stay Camp Sunrise Mountain is a fine location to camp. There's a tremendous 4-mile-long type IV-V whitewater run on Beaver Creek close by, the LR 26023 to confluence with Meadow Run sector. If you hold a good deal of paddling practice, this run of Beaver Creek can be a tremendous whitewater run for you. Nearby there is a nice 9.3-mile-long
class II whitewater section, the Rt. 68 to Route 26 section of Little Sandy Creek. It's probably reasonable to go whitewater rafting or kayaking on this section of Little Sandy Creek even if you believe your whitewater rafting or kayaking skills aren't very nice.
