Blaisdell Lake

Loved going to Blaisdell Lake Lodge back in the early 80s. Deer hunting! The lodge was the perfect hang out!! Ana and Natalie..Do you remember me?? :) Says Shawn Everts

My parents owned Blaisdell Lake Lodge in the 70's and 80's. The state boat ramp on the property is the best place to launch, off Clover Rd. The water has an excess of iron in it from tree roots. Therefore, the water is a brownish color, but very safe. When you turn on a boat motor it
looks like root beer. Class A Musky lake, also good for walleye and small-mouth bass. Average depth of lake is only 4 ft. Why it's a good fishing lake is because there are several 20+ ft holes, mainly in main basin in the middle.
When choosing lures to use, keep in mind the color of the water. Secret musky hiding place, in the lily pads. Best time to fish - dawn & dusk, when the lake is so calm it looks like glass. Boaters beware - there are several rock/sand patches close to shore, and most are in the largest basin of the lake, close to the state boat ramp & off each peninsula.
