The summit of West Grandaddy Mountain can be distinguished from Splash Dam Lake; Splash Dam Lake is near Ashley National Forest which is a lovely place. One of the governing highlights of the surroundings of Splash Dam Lake is Castle Rocks. There are other places here than Splash Dam Lake,     for example LaMarla Lake. Why not take a refreshing hike along the Highline Trail; if you are searching for a marina, Soldier Creek Marina is nearby.   Beautiful, shallow lake with attached primitive campground. There are trout, but most are very small. Water's edge changes from beach to marsh, and even rocks.
