There's so much to do here at Lake Jocassee that you need to camp here for a while, Keowee-Toxaway state Natural Area is a wonderful place for that. Jocassee Dam is an interesting thing to check out. After a long day outdoors Hampton Inn - Suites Cashiers-Sapphire Valley is a good spot to spend a night or     two; unsurprisingly, this is a good area for folks who like lakes, Lake Toxaway is a lake nearby. People from Tamassee love to come to Lake Jocassee, and Cane Creek is one of the streams nearby that might be worth taking a look at.   My family and I rented a lovely country home called Maplecrest at Lake Jocasse. It was just perfect and very close to the Park and all the nearby Lake activities. It is hard to find a pet friendly rental but they were very accommodating! - James Richardson Lake Jocassee is a crystal clear mountain lake located in Upstate South Carolina. A pristine watershed created in the 1970's as part of the Jocassee Gorges Conservation Area. Jocassee is fed by a myraid of waterfalls, rivers and streams. The Lake is extremely deep with depths of up to 350 ft. making it a fisherman's paradise. The Lake has 75 miles of mostly undeveloped shoreline and is the Crown Jewel of the Southern Blueridge Mountains.
