Gertrude Lake

On Brice Creek close by you encounter the 4.5-mile-in-length Parker Falls to Champion Creek sector of grade IV-V whitewater. Don’t rely on staying dry whitewater kayaking or rafting this bit of Brice Creek. Steamboat Creek has a category II+(IV) stretch of whitewater close by. The 9.5-mile-from-beginning-to-end City Creek to Steamboat Falls segment is fine to paddle. The City Creek to Steamboat Falls segment of Steamboat Creek is appropriate for paddlers
who have been whitewater paddling for some time but who are not yet ready for the incredibly treacherous rapids. Always check the latest conditions ahead of going whitewater paddling in view of the fact that whitewater paddling is a treacherous pastime.
