Currant Creek Reservoir

Camping is available at Burnt Ranch Dispersed, and obviously Currant Creek flows through this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. You need to explore Post Pile Rock while you're here at Currant Creek Reservoir, and let's not forget Dry Creek which is a stream that you may come across while you're here. Near Currant Creek Reservoir is a nice 69-mile-in-length run of whitewater on John Day River, a grade II-III, this is the Clarno to Cottonwood sector.
Donít depend on remaining dry paddling this run of John Day River in the event that you're not an expert raft paddler. Unsurprisingly, paddling is fun but treacherous; check restrictions in advance of a trip.
