We are working diligently to try and save Camp Crowell/Hilaka from, our Girl Scout Council GSNEO, being sold to developers. The Camp has so much history attached to it and it is perfect for all levels of camping and outdoor activities. When the rest of the United States is working towards getting children outside because of the growing concerns of childhood obesity, Girl Scouts has come up     with the notion that girls do not want to go outside. Their new program called 'Journeys' is based on reading expensive booklets and discussing their feelings and plans when they should be outside working with their feelings and plans.
