Custom Search     El Vado Reservoir     El Vado Lake is considerably down right now.  In 2012 the lake had to be drained considerably to repair the dam.  It was drained just above the drain and it still hasn't risen since then.  Due to lack of snow this winter it doesn't look very promising of rising in the future.  It will probably take several years before it is back up to its glory. Heron Lake is considerably down too, drained way to low. Fishing is bad and hard to get boats in the water. Says     Cheryl Casale This lake is a pretty 5 square mile lake.
