Rhododendron State Park is a great location to stretch your legs a bit; why not camp at Ashuelot River Campground if you're here at Swanzey Lake. On Otter Brook nearby you encounter the 3.1-mile-in-distance Roxbury to Keene segment of grade II whitewater. This segment of Otter Brook is appropriate for paddlers who haven't been raft paddling for very long. Ashuelot River - South Branch has a grade III-IV sweep     of whitewater nearby. The 2.3-mile-long Troy to Webb segment is nice to paddle.
