This has got to be the best kept secret in New Hampshire! A fantastic place to kayak or canoe. I've seen great blue heron, ducks of many varieties, Canada geese and even two bald eagles. It's easy to surprise beaver early in the morning as well as muskrat and oppossum. I haven's spotted deer yet, but have heard them crashing off into the brush when I paddle too close to shore in the morning |

Crotched Mountain, the close by ski hill has a height difference of 875 feet; this ski hill has 5 ski lifts, and 9 feet of ice cold snow yearly covering its 23 slopes.
