Carrigain Pond

OK, this is a bad review. Carrigain Pond is one of the most inaccessible, difficult places to get into. It takes 7-9 miles one-way to get into, several of which is bushwhacking, as well as massive cliffs, rivers, and thicker forest then you will ever come across. Going here without being experienced is suicide. Says Matt LaCroix

This lake is so wonderful. Not far from Carrigain Pond, you'll discover Squam Lake which is a charming lake. Stay the night
at Zealand Falls Appalachian Mountain Club Hut - Appalachian Trail; go ahead and bring the little ones to MT Washington Cog Railway while here at Carrigain Pond.
