Fort Point State Park is a picturesque place any time of year; the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby New Hermon Mountain. You don’t have     to go far from Thurston Pond to distinguish the water at Thurston Pond Dam. Thurston Pond is not the only spot close by, Pushaw Lake is a close by lake, and swamps can be such interesting places, go to McGann Bog while you're here at Thurston Pond.   No good fishing in this pond. Don't waste your time. No one goes here because it is polluted and no good fishing. Unless you like catching sunnies. Was run out by a guy named Ed.
