Rat Lake

A pleasant spree to Pack Saddle Basin is a great way to spend an afternoon. You find the 10-mile-from-start-to-finish Blackfoot Dam to Cutthroat Creek Campground portion of Blackfoot River nearby; this is a type III whitewater run. You might get wet whitewater boating this run of Blackfoot River, so you should be prepared for that. Always check current conditions before you go whitewater boating since whitewater boating is a hazardous pastime.
Why not check
out nearby Spring Creek since you're here at Rat Lake, and Rat Lake is fine enough to spend more than a day at, Poison Creek Access is a fine local campground.
