  This lake is so wonderful. If you came for an overnight stay Surveyors Lookout is a great site to camp, and why not a little side spree to Jug Creek. Northbound Lake is one of the lakes here in the Bitterroot Range.
Wasset Peak is clearly visible from Northbound Lake, and the slopes of Lookout Pass are so inviting noone can resist. At Northbound Lake you can catch a glimpse of Heart Peak, and since you're here, you could also take a look at picturesque Steamboat
All year is a tremendous time in the Bitterroot Range if you like the outdoors. Places like St. Joe National Forest are magnificent to explore; hey, John Creek is a good local stream.
