  East Camos Campground is a good campground nearby, and the Western Centennial Mountains casts its shadow over Hancock Lake.
On a tremendous day at Hancock Lake you can take a hike along the Myers Creek Trail, and from Hancock Lake you get a great panorama of Slide Mountain. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more cool stuff to do here in the Bitterroot Range. The sight of scenic Slide Mountain near Hancock Lake is magnificent. Stay the night
    at Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge - River Marsh, and Harriman State Park is a pleasant location to stretch your legs a bit.
This lake is located in the wonderful Bitterroot Range.
