  There's no way anybody can get bored here in the Salmon River Mountains. The summit of Puddin Mountain can be observed from Echo Lake; why not camp at Yellowjacket Campground while you're here at Echo Lake.
This lake is so wonderful. Crags Campground is a magnificent local campground. The top of Wilson Mountain is easily seen from Echo Lake, and a visit to Salmon National Forest is a great idea.
Echo Lake is one of the lakes here in the Salmon River Mountains.
    Summertime highs at Echo Lake mostly tend to be in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 40's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and throughout the dark hours in the winter at Echo Lake temperatures descend to the 0's.
