Custom Search     West Okoboji Lake     West Lake Okoboji is a great place to vacation. The water is so clear and there are so many activities to do! I absolutely love it there. One place I DO NOT recommend staying is Manhattan Beach resort. This was a very bad experience. The place is not kept up, the units are dirty, and there are no flowers in the flower beds. The manager of the place is crazy. She is very rude at times and almost seems drunk half the time!! The owners are just as bad if not worse,     and their kids are not nice at all!! They walk around like they are better than everyone, and it just threw off our whole vacation... just about. Most of the time we were on the beautiful lake, but I can't imagine staying there at the resort all of the time, I would have hated it!! (Fri, 16 Jan 2009) Says Great lake, bad resort This lake is a great place for boating, sailing, power boating and waterskiing. This lake is a gorgeous 6 square mile lake.
