The waters of this lake include some great bullhead, bass, bluegill, crappie, drum, freshwater drum, largemouth bass, muskellunge, muskellunge, northern pike, perch, smallmouth bass, walleye and yellow perch. Don't forget to take a great little journey to Loon Creek; if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Spirit Lake/Okoboji is a splendid choice. This lake is so wonderful.     A pleasant swamp next to Spirit Lake is McClelland Slough, and a perfect nearby hotel is Ramada Spirit Lake/Okoboji.
