Custom Search     Konolds Pond     Grew up on Manila Avenue in 1960's. Went fishing just about everyday in summer, ice fishing in winter. My father used to drive his Willys Jeep on the ice. It was so thick. He used to start it and put the heat on, so I wouldn't freeze to death. Got a small boat when I was 12, and me and my friend went fishing in the summers at night after working on the farm, perrottis,tito. Caught lots of fish: pickle, crappy, and sunfish. Once in March caught a 5 1/2 LB bass     and gave it to the Puerto Rican guys that worked on the farm. I still think of this place, the island and solace of this place when I needed to pray.
