Custom Search     Spring Lake     I love this place. As young kids in the late 1960's myself and other classmates from Dardanelle passed many a good time here. My feelings for this place run deep. Crystal clear cool water, overwhelming pine scent and something special. No sure quite what, but maybe granite or sandstone tinted smell to water. Whatever, I loved it. Says David Crowe You find the 7-mile-in-distance NFR 1601 to NFR 1614 portion of Big Shoal Creek nearby; this is a class III-IV     whitewater part. This part of Big Shoal Creek is an amusing part for whitewater paddling.
