Crystal Springs Lake

What time does it close? Says Lacey

Does the lake have an area for scuba dives? Says Jim

We go to this lake all the time. We have a pool, but about the end of June the water warms up so much it feels like a bathtub. That is when we hit Crystal Springs! It is always cold and refreshing. There is a nice beach to sun bathe, play in the sand, or play volleyball. There is also a grassy picnic area with a playground. In the water, there is a baby pool
area, a huge slide, some smaller slides, a platform to dive from or sunbathe on, a rope swing, a low dive and a high dive. It is nicely landscaped with lots of potted flowers. There is a changing area, and admission is $5 for adults
and $3 for kids(5 and up). They also sell snacks and floats and we love to eat at the cafe there. It is very inexpensive, the food is made fresh while you wait, and you can just come in from the beach and be comfortable. There are also pool tables, and years ago, my grandparents went to dances there on Saturday night. One of the few places that have stayed the same for the last 50 years. It is open from Memorial Day to Labor Day, they drain the lake every year,
so the bottom stays nice and sandy. Says Na
