Cropley Lake

Does anyone out there know the scoop on how Cropley Lake got it's name. Our name crops up all over the world but it is not that common and I love to hear the stories. I was made aware of the name in Alaska after I visited my son who has moved there. We are Albertans. Says Donna Cropley Langton

Eaglecrest is a skiers paradise. It has 40% expert and advanced slopes on its 640 acres of ski terrain, and 60% green and blue slopes for novices. The 31 slopes
at Eaglecrest are all splendid; the drop from top to bottom is 1,400 feet at this ski hill. Eaglecrest obtains 29 feet of snow every year and has 3 ski lifts to carry all the skiers up the mountain.
