An average amount of rain falls at Lost River State Park; July is when you get the most rain here, and February is when it's the driest. For the period of the warmest time of the year, highs ordinarily are in the 80's at Lost River State Park. All through the dark hours of summer temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are generally in the 30's while Lost River State Park overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 10's. Near Lost River State Park you hit upon the Hunkerson Gap Trail which is a perfect hiking trail, and you ought to beyond doubt take a look at Cheeks Rocks while you're here.
