For the duration of the winter highs are in the 20's; overnight  
lows all through the winter for D.A.R. State Park tend to be in the 0's.
Ten Acres Campground is a perfect campground nearby, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Hospital Creek. Be careful coming to D.A.R. State Park, you might not ever wanna return home again. If you came for an overnight stay Craig Harbor Canyon is a magnificent place to camp; a great close by hotel is Basin Harbor Club. D.A.R. State Park is a pretty place where everyone has a magnificent time.
Wards Creek is a great local stream, and Crane Point is not far at all. Why not camp at Griffins Ten Acre Campground since you're here at D.A.R. State Park, and since you're here you should take a look at Coffin Point. All the outdoors fun things in the Adirondack Mountains will keep you coming back persistently. In the event that you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Mill Creek, and if you're here, do take a journey to Elm Point.
