The nice people of Rio Frio like to hang out nearby, obviously you could also have a look at Harrison Lake since you're here;   it's not far at all. And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Garner State Park. Glide down the rapids of Dry Frio River in a kayak. Mountain Laurel Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest, and while you're here, you could pop by Buffalo Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Garner State Park has to offer, you can camp at J and L River Camp, and obviously Little Dry Frio Creek flows through this vicinity. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Get drenched paddling on Frio River; camping is available at Frio Falls Retreat.
