For the period of the summertime months at Garner State Park highs are commonly in the 90's. Summer night lows plunge down to the 60's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 50's while the cold winter nights at Garner State Park are in the 20's. The nice people of Rio Frio like to hang out nearby, obviously you could also have a look at Harrison Lake since you're here;
 
it's not far at all.
And if that's not enough, there's a lot more to do near Garner State Park. Glide down the rapids of Dry Frio River in a kayak. Mountain Laurel Inn is a wonderful site to get some rest, and while you're here, you could pop by Buffalo Creek. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Garner State Park has to offer, you can camp at J and L River Camp, and obviously Little Dry Frio Creek flows through this vicinity.
If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining stuff, what a great globe it would be. Get drenched paddling on Frio River; camping is available at Frio Falls Retreat. Cold Springs is an inspiring spot to stop at while here; why not check out close by Pecan Creek if you're here at Garner State Park.
