Sycamore Shoals State Park is a good site of normal rain; July is when you get the most rain here, and October meanwhile is the driest month. Sycamore Shoals State Park is a striking spot that everyone likes. Blue Spring is a fine local attraction, and glide down the rapids of Doe River in a kayak.

If you come at the right time of year, Doe River offers some pleasant whitewater, and if the weather is wonderful, you can go for a hike along the Morrill Trail. Near Sycamore Shoals State Park you stumble on Lickskillet Hollow which is a wonderful place to stop at; dry warm beds await you at Americourt Hotel Elizabethton.
You need to pop by Bee Cliff while you're here at Sycamore Shoals State Park; if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Sand Spring Branch. Going for a hike on the Holston Mountain Trail is always a pleasant adventure; as expected Boyd Spring Branch is a wonderful stream that is worth going to.
