Croft State Park, South Carolina   Not impressed with Croft State Park. No swimming areas or tennis. Nice playground. ''Lake front'' means view of lake. If you have horses this is the park for you. Lots of trails and nice arena. July 2008 Says Williams Croft State Park is a wonderful wilderness region that everybody likes. Croft State Park is a common site to spend time for folks from Pacolet. Fun endeavors are abundant; there's always something for everybody. Croft State Park has glorious outdoors recreation that you may benefit from. Summertime highs at Croft State Park regularly     tend to be in the 80's. For the duration of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 60's. During the wintertime this place gets highs in the 50's, and overnight lows through the wintertime for Croft State Park tend to be in the 20's. Croft State Park is not the only place close by, Lake Zimmerman is a close by lake, and Thompson Creek is near Croft State Park and is always a joy to take a look at. If you come at the right time of year, North Tyger River offers some tremendous whitewater; some of the water close by flows, like Dugan Creek. There are some good whitewater spots on Jimmies Creek, and if you need a spot to stay Spartanburg-Days Inn Downtown is a nice choice. Croft State Park sees pretty high levels of precipitation; March is the wettest month with most rain while April is regularly the driest month. This is a popular site for folks from Pacolet, and paddling on Lawsons Fork Creek is so much fun. No way I can stop, cause I'm havin' a splendid time here at Croft State Park. Glide down the rapids of Pacolet in a kayak, and a lake close by is Forest Lake. Going to Croft State Park is a wonderful idea when you have to get out. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Croft State Park has to offer, you can camp at Pine Ridge Campground, and getting to Kelsey Creek from Croft State Park is uncomplicated. Stay the night at Croft state Natural Area, and if you're here you can play some golf at Oak Ridge Country Club. If you get bored of Croft State Park, you could also visit nearby Lake Edwin Johnson; why not take a little journey to Stillhouse Branch if you're here.
