If you need a place to stay SUPER 8 MOTEL - MT. POCONO is a tremendous choice; hey, Jim Smith Run is a good local stream. Tobyhanna State Park is a popular destination for people from South Sterling. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Millpond Number One, and there are swamps here too, Pepridge Swamp is close at hand. Tobyhanna State Park has loads of natural loveliness; it's a site that is popular with people from far and wide. Through the warmest time of the year highs here at Tobyhanna State Park reach the 80's with night lows in the 60's. Daytime highs throughout the winter are in the 30's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Tobyhanna State Park. A typical amount of precipitation falls here at Tobyhanna State Park; of all the months in a year June is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is January. Not far from Tobyhanna State Park you obtain some pleasant water scenery at Gouldsboro Dam, and why not a little side journey to Singer Run. There are plenty of folks from South Sterling here at Tobyhanna State Park, and if you've had enough of Tobyhanna State Park, Tobyhanna Lake is close by.
