Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Bear Creek, and there's some flowing water nearby, Leslie Run is a stream you can pop by while here. And that's not all you can do here at Lehigh Gorge State Park. If you don't mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Black Creek, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Mountain Laurel Golf Club. Dry warm beds await you at Econo Lodge Inn & Suites; a great   site to camp here at Lehigh Gorge State Park is Blue Mountain Camping Resort. If you need a place to stay Inn at Jim Thorpe is a wonderful choice, and if you came to camp Jim Thorpe Camping Resort is a great site to do that. This is no site for people who don’t like to have fun. Lehigh Gorge State Park is nice enough to spend more than a day at, Sandy Valley Campground is a nice local campground. At Lehigh Gorge State Park all through the summertime months highs are in the 70's. All through the moonlight hours it's usually in the 50's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 20's, and overnight lows throughout the wintertime for Lehigh Gorge State Park tend to be in the 10's. Some nearby water includes Mud Run, and the Boulder Field Trail offers hiking at its best. If you need a location to stay Comfort Inn - Pocono Mountain is a nice choice. There's so much to do here at Lehigh Gorge State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Lehigh Gorge Campground is a good spot for that. A great location for whitewater paddling near Lehigh Gorge State Park is Lehigh River, and Jack Frost is a perfect local ski area. After a long day outdoors Knights Inn Lake Harmony/White Haven is a good place to spend a night or two, and Hickory Run is one of the streams close by that might be worth visiting.
