If you come at the right time of year, Butte Creek offers some tremendous whitewater. There's so much to do here at Silver Falls State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Park Campground is a fine place for that. There are many cool activities for everyone. Float down
the rapids of Abiqua Creek in a kayak, and if you came to camp Silver Falls Conference Center is a nice site to do that. There's some flowing water close by, Priest Creek is a stream you can stop at while here, and a journey to North Falls will fill your soul with glorious feelings.
You just can't envision the amount of outdoors exciting stuff the area right next door to Silver Falls State Park has to offer. Brooks Creek flows through this region; Little Abiqua Creek is near Silver Falls State Park and is always a joy to pop by. For the period of the long
summer days at Silver Falls State Park highs are typically in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. Throughout the winter highs are in the 40's while the cold winter nights at Silver Falls State Park are in the 30's. Camping at Camp Dakota is always a splendid experience, and do put some time aside to spend at Upper North Falls if you're here at Silver Falls State Park.
