Coopey Creek is one of the streams close by that might be worth checking out; whitewater paddling is great on Bull Run. Shepperds Dell State Park is a brilliant spot for a visit when you have to spend some time in the outdoors. Dalton Point is close at hand and always wonderful to explore; if you came to camp Dougan Creek Campground is a wonderful place to do that. Pillars of Hercules is an attention-grabbing place to visit while at Shepperds Dell State Park, and Coopey Falls is a delightful local attraction. Shepperds Dell State Park is a common spot to spend time for folks travelling from Corbett.
