Lakes are fine; Coffenbury Lake is a lake that's in close proximity to Fort Stevens State Park, and if you came for an overnight stay Chinook Trailer Park is a fine location to camp. Fort Stevens State Park is a wet site that gets a good deal of precipitation; December is when you get the most rain here; the driest month is July.
Fort Stevens State Park is a tremendous place for a tour when you have got to spend some time in nature.
