A quick trip to Little Muddy Creek close to Ecola State Park is a delightful idea, needless to say you could also check out Seaside Reservoir while you're here; it's not far at all. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ecola State Park has to offer, you can camp at Bud's Campground; a great nearby hotel is Comfort Inn Seaside. You should positively explore lovely Sunset Beach while you're here at Ecola State Park. It's a popular place to get away to for the inhabitants of Seaside.
A lake close by is Riverside Lake, and you can spend the day on the beach at Indian Beach. For the duration of the days of summer at Ecola State Park temperatures are generally in the 60's.
