A brilliant close by hotel is Orchards Hotel, and don't forget to take a pleasant little tour to South Branch Hemlock Brook. Fun pursuits are bountiful; there's always something for young and old to take pleasure in. There's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline kick people; pleasant hiking is available along the Southeast Hollow Trail. A tour to Ford Glen is always fun; why not camp at Aqua Vista Valley Campgrounds while you're here at Taconic State Park. Greenwood Lodge And Campsites is a fine local campground, and if you crave a little side spree, try Flora Glen. After a long day outdoors Best Value Inn Pownal/Williamstown is a fine spot to spend a night or two; Ellis Mine Hollow is also a fine place to look at. Taconic State Park has tremendous outdoors recreation, so you could have fun during your stay. Take a side visit to Birch Brook, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Taconic State Park; Deer Hill Trail is a tremendous local trail. Yeah, come here to Taconic State Park for a pleasant time. A great forest next to Taconic State Park is Hopkins Memorial Forest; there's glorious hiking along the Hopper Trail. There's so much to do here at Taconic State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Merck Forest Foundation is a glorious place for that, and one of the major highlights of the surroundings of Taconic State Park is Smith Hill. If you need a place to stay The Villager Motel is a fine choice, and why not explore close by Ladd Brook if you're here at Taconic State Park. The top of Northwest Hill is easily distinguished from Taconic State Park, and if you're here, you might as well visit Frost Hollow. High temperatures at Taconic State Park through the days of summer are in the 70's. During the dark hours of summer temperatures plunge down into the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 20's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Taconic State Park. People from Williamstown love to come to Taconic State Park, and going for a hike on the Taconic Crest Trail is always a great adventure.
