Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park Custom Search   8 feet of wonderful snow fall every year on the 30 slopes of Thunder Ridge. This nearby ski hill has a vertical drop of 500 feet and has 4 different ski lifts. About 20% of the slopes covering the 100 acres of skiable territory at Thunder Ridge are challenging while 80% of the slopes are green and blue. Skiers enjoy Thunder Ridge; it's a good ski hill. Mahopac Point is right next door to Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park and is a nice place to pop by, and if you're here, you could also stop at wonderful Lounsbury Pond. Hallocks Mill Brook flows through     this neighborhood, and lakes are such peaceful places, why not have a look at Oscawana Lake. New Croton Dam has good water scenery and it's in close proximity to Franklin D. Roosevelt State Park, and Sanctuary Country Club is a great golf course close by.
