Take a hike on the Parker Trail, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Contoocook River. You could also visit Poole Reservoir
since you're here at Monadnock State Park; it's close by, and an afternoon playing golf at Shattuck Golf Course is always a joy. The peak of Monadnock Mountain can be observed from Monadnock State Park, and you can stay the night at Emerald Acres.
