There's so much to do here at Traverse City State Park that you need to camp here for a while, Holiday Park Campgrounds-map is a splendid location for that; Boardman Lake is a pleasant lake nearby. Golf can be played at Lochen Heath Golf Club, and Traverse City State Park is great enough to spend more than a day at, Lakeside Resort and Party Store is a great local campground. From a precipitation point of view Traverse City State Park is a quite common spot; the month with most of the rain is September, and February meanwhile is the driest month.
