Orchard Beach State Park, Michigan

| | My girlfriend and I camped at Orchard Beach State Park for four days in June. The weather was sunny and moderately warm. The camp site itself is nice, located right on Lake Michigan. It has hot water, showers, and modern bathrooms. There is also electrical hookup for the camp sites. Our actual site was overlooking the bluff. Beautiful. Because it's situated on a bluff, for very old people or those in poor physical health it could be hard walking up and down the steep steps to the beach. The beach is absolutely amazing. things I liked the most about Manistee is that the beach is not crowded. We walked miles to reach the lighthouse in the distance, and though this was mid-week, there were almost nobody on our journey. The last day of our stay, which was Friday, the campground had become a bit
| | more crowded, which up until then was only about 1/2 full at best. The campground is more geared towards families and those who want it low key. If you are looking for lots of people and hot bodies, go to Grand Haven. What's nice about Manistee is there are other diversions as well. There is a casino within 5 miles of the campground, but I didn't find that video poker was a winning proposition at the Little River Casino. Manistee has a quaint downtown. There is also golfing nearby if that's your thing. All in all, I loved everything about Manistee. | |

It's a little bit out of the way, but I really enjoyed that we were not surrounded by people at all times. On the way back to Detroit, we spent a half day in Grand Haven, and what difference. Grand Haven is all about being close to others and checking out the bods on the beach,
and Manistee is all about enjoying the bluffs on Lake Michigan and looking at a picture perfect Michigan day. Lake Michigan is so beautiful. Says Boo Boo the Bear

for people who like lakes. Manistee Lake is a lake nearby; camping is available at Orchard Beach State Park. Orchard Beach State Park is a common site to spend time for the people of Eastlake. Summertime highs at Orchard Beach State Park commonly tend to be in the 80's. Once the
sun is down it falls down to the 50's. For the period of the wintertime the highs are usually in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 10's to Orchard Beach State Park.
Orchard Beach State Park is a magnificent site for a tour when you need to spend some time in
the outdoors. Fun pursuits are bountiful; there's always something for everyone to get pleasure from. Yeah, come here to Orchard Beach State Park for a magnificent time. If you came for an overnight stay Lake Michigan Recreation Area is a nice place to camp, and if you need a spot
to stay Little River Casino Resort is a splendid choice.
From a rainfall point of view Orchard Beach State Park is a quite typical place; the month of September is the wettest with most of the rain while February is ordinarily the driest month. There is perfect outdoors recreation
at Orchard Beach State Park, so you could enjoy yourself while you're here. Orchard Beach State Park is a picturesque site that everyone enjoys.
Swamps are attention-grabbing locations and Peters Bayou near Orchard Beach State Park is no exception, and not far from Orchard
Beach State Park you'll stumble on Totches Bayou which is a charming lake. Here at Orchard Beach State Park there are plenty of folks from Eastlake; Indian Springs is always fun to check out. After a long day outdoors Carriage Inn is a great site to spend a night or two, and if
you want to play some golf, you're in luck because Fox Hills Golf Course is in the neighborhood.
There are other places here than Orchard Beach State Park, for example Gambs Lake, and Manistee Golf & Country Club is a delightful golf course close by. This place, Orchard Beach
State Park, it truly has so much outdoors cool stuff. Nearby lakes? Sure, Bar Lake is next to Orchard Beach State Park; Orchard Beach State Park is a great location to camp, Ingall's Campgroung is a great location. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always have
a look at nearby Lake Winnogene, and dry warm beds await you at Microtel Manistee.
A great nearby hotel is Rodeway Inn Manistee. If you need a place to stay Super 8 Motel - Manistee is a great choice, and camping at Orchard Beach State Park is good fun, Coho Bend Campground is a good local campground.
