York Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Camp Overflow is a great place for that. At York Lake you always meet someone from Sandisfield, and why not camp at Camp Half Moon since you're here at York Lake. A quick tour to Cherry Brook in close proximity to York Lake
is a great idea, and in the event that you don’t have a problem getting drenched, you can always go whitewater paddling on Farmington River - West Branch. There's always Harnett Pond Dam to go to in the neighborhood of York Lake, and Fall River has a great whitewater paddling spot
close by. Not far from York Lake you can enjoy the trees of Sandisfield State Forest, and York Lake is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Spring Campground is a glorious local campground. At York Lake during the days of summer highs are in the 80's. Through the
moonlight hours it's mostly in the 50's. For the period of the wintertime this place gets highs in the 30's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at York Lake. Paddling on Farmington River - West Branch is so much fun; you can stay the night at Lone Oak Camp Sites.
