Campground is a great local campground, and unsurprisingly Cherry Brook is a wonderful stream that is worth taking a look at.
You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area in the neighborhood of York Lake has to offer. York Lake has good outdoors
recreation, so you can have a good time while here. York Lake truly is in the middle of a scenic outdoors paradise. You don’t have to go far from York Lake to observe the water at York Lake Dam, and at York Lake you can see Cowles Hill.
Going to York Lake is a great idea when
you've gotta get out. York Lake is a great wilderness area that is popular with people from far and wide. What a place this is for outdoors people. Drift down the rapids of Farmington River - West Branch in a kayak, and York Lake is not far at all from Sandisfield.
There's
no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Otis Ridge, and a good spot to camp here at York Lake is Lone Oak Camp Sites. Get wet paddling on Sandy Brook River; there are other places here than York Lake, for example Abbey Lake. Whitewater paddling is perfect on Fall River; a swamp like Wolf Swamp next to York Lake has lots of out of the ordinary things to see.
