Upton State Forest Custom Search   Clear and Branch has a nearby whitewater bit; the Harrisville to Nasonville segment is a perfect 7.5-mile-in-distance grade I-II bit of whitewater. It's perhaps reasonable to go raft paddling on this bit of Clear and Branch even if you think your raft paddling skills aren't very perfect. On Assabet River you discover the nearby Route 117 to Route 62 portion. This is a type I-II, 15-mile-from-start-to-finish section of whitewater. For those inexperienced in paddling this section of Assabet River may be an exciting location to kayak. Check restrictions before     you go on the whitewater, or else it's not safe and sound. A magnificent nearby hotel is Doubletree Hotel Boston/Milford, and hey, Warren Brook is a tremendous local stream. There are scores of amusing activities to please everybody. Upton State Forest is a nice site for a visit when you need to get out of the house.
