National Forest is a splendid location for that, and nothing beats kicking back at North Beach.
All the outdoors exciting stuff in the Salmon River Mountains will keep you coming back over and over. On a great day at Ponderosa State Park you can take a hike along the Boulder Driveway Trail. You'll hit upon a charming lake called Payette Lake near Ponderosa State Park; if the weather is good, you can go for a hike along the Crestline Trail. Visit Fall Creek while you're here at Ponderosa State Park. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Ponderosa State Park has to offer, you can camp at Lakeview Village RV Park.
Ponderosa State Park is a location that is reasonably waterless ordinarily; of all the months in a year May is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. Ponderosa State Park is a tremendous spot for a journey when you must spend some time in the great outdoors. Enjoy a lazy day on the beach at Sylvan Beach; a trip to close by Lucks Point is very relaxing.
A great place to camp here at Ponderosa State Park is Spring Creek - Payette National Forest; Lightning Point is an out of the ordinary thing to catch a sight of if you're here. Summertime highs at Ponderosa State Park regularly tend to be in the 90's. Through the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. Through the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's while Ponderosa State Park nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 20's. Hiking along the Fall Creek Trail is wonderful fun; a pleasant close by hotel is Mccall Super 8 Lodge.
While you're here at Ponderosa State Park you can take a hike along the Louie Lake Trail, and you are close to Duck Bay while you're here. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy the Salmon River Mountains. Some of the water nearby flows, like Sylvan Creek, and swamps like Lily Marsh are fun to check out. Now, you may feel that's heaps but there's even more entertaining stuff to do here at Ponderosa State Park. Wagon Wheel Bay is close at hand and always glorious to go to, and you'll meet a lot of people from Mccall here.
Ponderosa State Park is good enough to spend more than a day at, Cold Springs Campground - Payette National Forest is a good local campground, and swing by Wagon Bay Creek it's a glorious place to pop by. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors amusing things the Salmon River Mountains has to offer. Porcupine Point is reasonably close to Ponderosa State Park; after a long day outdoors Whitetail Club and Resort is a splendid place to spend a night or two. Ponderosa State Park is a popular destination for people travelling from Mccall.
Having a great time in the Salmon River Mountains is painless. A lovely lake like Little Payette Lake close to Ponderosa State Park is a nice location to visit; there's whitewater on Payette River - North Fork for all you adrenaline people. What would winter be without some skiing at Brundage Mountain, and don't forget to take a glorious little tour to Lemah Creek.
