Going to Boise National Forest is a great idea when you must spend some time in nature. That right there is plenty of fun things already but it goes on, the Salmon River Mountains has it all. Skunk Creek Summit is simple to spot from Boise National Forest, and an exciting thing to check out next to Boise National Forest is Herrick Dam.
Soar down the rapids of Payette River - North Fork in a kayak, and if you came for an overnight stay Trinity Pines Camp & Conferenc is a pleasant site to camp. Boise National Forest is a popular destination for people from Cascade. Through the summer months highs here at Boise National Forest reach the 80's. Through the moonlight hours it's typically in the 40's. High temperatures through the winter are normally in the 20's with temperatures at Boise National Forest dipping down into the 10's through winter nights.
If you come at the right time of year, Payette River - Middle Fork offers some great whitewater, and there are plenty of people from Cascade here.
